Lola Thorne: About Me
Empathetic, direct, intuitive and funny - I will help you to see underlying issues and support you to work your way through them quickly so you can see results. I am passionate about helping others and committed to making a difference.

-
Holistic, systems theory approach means we look at the whole system around you, which is in a constant transient balance, so we can make fully informed decisions that bring about positive change in your life.
-
Solutions-focused means that I focus on your strengths and resources that have got you to where you are today. With a focus on your present and future circumstances and goals, rather than past experiences, we identify solutions to move you forward.
-
Transactional analysis looks at how your behaviour and relationships change and we focus on how to alter your ego state as a way to positively affect the emotional problems within that relationship.

Beyond the qualifications and professional experience, I have a significant range of personal experiences that lead me into social work and eventually into coaching. My personal experiences include living with and overcoming emotional and narcissistic abuse, setting personal boundaries with loved ones who live with mental health difficulties and alcohol abuse, unconsciously repeating childhood patterns as an adult, through to professional burnout and a variety of issues in between. I learnt from all these experiences, transformed my inner voice and cultivated a new life for myself whereby I repaired my personal boundaries, rebuilt my self-confidence and reclaimed the direction of my life.
Given my professional and personal experiences, I will not be surprised by anything you say, I have likely heard it before and can empathise with it. I also have the determination and experience to help you move forward out of your comfort/ stuck zone with the right balance of empathy and necessary honesty to get you into your new life.
